From working at the art gallery to having his music being played on the radio across the world Alex Pall of the music group “The Chainsmokers” are now going through an identity crisis. Alex Pall and his partner Andrew Taggart, were paired up by Alex Pall’s manager in New York City under short notice and immediately started working together on their musical identity. The two which were very unique and talented individuals meshed together gorgeously. They worked long hard hours every day trying to create an identity as musical artist. After around 4 years from the time they initially met, the two now have millions of views on Youtube and have their music played all across the world.
With the enormous success of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart’s songs “Roses” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” their vast flock of fans are demanding an album from The Chainsmokers. Alex Pall and his partner feel the affliction from their fan base but also know the implications of their next music album. The partners realize that they have an incredible opportunity to authentically illustrate their musical identity. The music group is reaching the 16-25 age group with an even split between boys and girls.
Not to mention that they are reaching Alex Pall’s mother humming his “Roses” song randomly!
With great success also comes a great responsibility to make sure they continue to touch the lives of all of these fans. These responsibilities can sometimes be hard to deliver as an artist but Alex Pall and his partner have always made their music based on two things. What they would want to hear music-wise and telling true stories of their lives through the songs they write and sing.
Songs like “Closer” which entails a musical story about Andrew Taggart’s ex-girlfriend and his initial attractiveness to their breakup after hooking up is just one example of how the two incorporate their lives into the music they make for their fans. Alex Pall and his partner will continue to push their boundaries and limits to continue their pursuit of musical identity.
