Dr. Saad Saad is a recently retired pediatric surgeon living in Eatontown, New Jersey. He retired from the Hovnanian Children’s Hospital as the co-medical director. This is on the heels of a very successful career which includes many medical missions, two inventions, and so much more.

Dr. Saad Saad was an ambitious pediatrician and wanted to become a US Board Certified pediatric surgeon. It just so happens that it was a very rare thing to be done in America at the time, but the pediatrician set his mind to it.

The Saudi Royal family hired Dr. Saad Saad as their pediatrician at the King Specialist Hospital. His whole family moved from the United States to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The job position was a rewarding experience in which he was able to help save many children’s lives.
Everyone can look back on their lives and give their younger selves some well warranted advice. Dr. Saad Saad would tell his younger self to never, ever give up on your dreams.
Nothing is impossible, and it is important to remember that. His father imparted this idea to him in his youth. Their family went through a lot together, but they pulled through in the end.
The story goes like this. Dr. Saad Saad was born in Palestine where his family lived. The family was separated when Saad Saad’s siblings and mother were instructed to board a bus immediately. Their father was still at work and was not informed of the sudden change.
The family was moved to the West Bank where his father eventually reunited with them. He had to pay a boat owner lots of money to get him there. He had to stay determined and never give up to get back to his family. This are some of the lessons Dr. Saad Saad learned from his father’s fighting spirit. Another lesson he learned, is to never settle for less. If you have a big dream in life, don’t settle for a watered down version of it.
