Greg Aziz: The Canadian Entrepreneur

Greg Aziz is the head of a prominent railroad freight engineering and production firm. As well as being part of the corporate world, he and his wife Irene founded the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, Canada’s most famous agricultural event. After graduation, he joined his family’s food business, Affiliated Foods. This company eventually grew to become an international trader and importer of fresh food from Europe, Central, and South America, selling to the biggest markets in the US and Eastern Canada.

Afterward, Greg worked at a few different banking firms in New York from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. In 1994, he purchased his freight business from Dofasco. Greg Aziz was confident in the company’s talented engineers and team-building capacity. With substantial investments in resources and workforce, they increased their yearly manufacturing capacity by 1999, leading to an increase in employment from 600 to 3,000 employees.

With an impressive 100 years of excellence in production, design, and commitment to excellence, his company is hailed as the top railroad freight tank and car producer in North America. Greg Aziz recalls how, since it was founded in 1912, it has created freight cars that satisfy and surpass the expectations and standards of its customers.
